Block Description
Highest altitude vineyard in Napa county with old vine Zinfandel planted in the 70’s by my father. Non irrigated head pruned on St. George growing in sandy loam at 2706 feet on Blue Ridge in east Napa county. Spacing is mostly 8 x10 and slopes are aggressive, but manageable.
Notes
Unique growing site with special views of the Bay Area, Napa/Sonoma counties, and east to the Sierra. The fires of the 2020 summer reduced our acreage, but the remaining +-6 acres still produce wonderful fruit. Past buyers include Beringer, Girard, and most recently the Crane Assembly under the Disciples label. My family has been farming here since the beginning and we take care of all field tasks.
